Bratislava, January 28 (TASR) - Transport and now also Environment Minister Arpad Ersek (Most-Hid) stated on Tuesday after President Zuzana Caputova appointed him as the new environment minister that he intends to continue in the work his predecessor Lazslo Solymos started. Ersek then thanked Solymos. "I want to continue his work but I don"t want to finish it, I want to leave it open so that the next environment minister, who"ll come out of the parliamentary election, can follow it up," said Ersek, adding that Solymos will always be at his disposal to give him advice if need be. When asked whether he"ll pay attention to cross interests of both ministries under his management, he answered that he wants to finish his tenure at both of them in such a manner "that will prevent any collision". The media also asked Solymos whether he can envision himself returning to the post of environment minister after the general election, to which he replied that if voters support him, he can. zel/mcs
