Presov, December 6 (TASR) - Members of the 2nd mechanised brigade of the Slovak Armed Forces are helping to deal with the aftermath of the gas explosion in an apartment block in Presov and despatched six UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters and one rescue chopper for the operation, TASR learnt from Defence Ministry spokesperson Danka Capakova on Friday. "Also, housing for 55 persons has been prepared at a lodging house in Presov and 80 field beds at a gymnasium. At the ready are also beds at the Military Hospital in Ruzomberok (Zilina region)," claimed Capakova. Defence Minister Peter Gajdos is already on his way to the site. "I guarantee that our soldiers stand ready to help with anything necessary, whether it be the provision of additional equipment or personnel, including psychological aid," said Gajdos, who sent his sympathies to the affected families and voiced his regret over the incident. mf/mcs
