Bratislava, July 16 (TASR) - Most-Hid caucus member Martin Fedor has confirmed that he's in talks with former health minister Tomas Drucker regarding collaboration on the potential founding of a new political party, TASR learnt on Tuesday. Fedor told TASR that Drucker reached out to him because Fedor has been involved with issues of defence and security long term. Fedor underlined, however, that he's considering first and foremost whether to stay active in public life. "We've found common ground regarding programme concepts. I've been dealing with issues of defence, security and Slovakia's foreign affairs orientation for a long time, and he reached out to me in this context," said Fedor. Fedor added that he sympathises with Drucker's efforts to seek systemic solutions to public problems even before actually founding a new political party. "I'm glad that he's approaching this from the bottom up and not the other way round. He marshals ideas into a programme first before even making any announcement." Tomas Drucker still hasn't announced the founding of a new party. He told TASR only that he's aware that if someone intends to contest the 2020 general election, they need to take action now. He plans to discuss potential solutions with people in the regions throughout the summer. mf/df
