Bratislava, May 16 (TASR) - Demolition works on the unfinished building in Bratislava-Razsochy of what had been planned to be a top hospital in Slovakia's capital should begin by the end of June, Health Minister Andrea Kalavska (a Smer-SD nominee) said at a press conference in the presence of Premier Peter Pellegrini (Smer-SD) on Thursday.
Kalavska at the same time said that she'd announce a tender for a project to build a new hospital on the same location.
"We're sending out a clear signal that history of 30-years is going to change," said Pellegrini, adding that the new hospital should be finished by the end of the next electoral term (2020-24).
Meanwhile, financial group Penta is building a new private hospital in the area of Bory, while Pellegrini has conceded that the state hospital could be finished some two years after Penta's.
