President Kiska to Leave for Paris on Sunday to Commemorate Armistice Day

Bratislava, November 9 (TASR) - Slovak President Andrej Kiska is slated to meet in Paris on Sunday (November 11) with French President Emmanuel Macron, TASR learnt from Henrieta Hajtova of the President's Office press department on Friday. At the invitation extended by the French head of state, Kiska will take part in the ceremonial commemoration at the Arc de Triomphe of the 100th anniversary of the signing of truce that brought the WW1 to a close. "Also in the itinerary of Andrej Kiska will be the official lunch served by the French President and the participation in the opening of the first year of the Paris Peace Forum," added Hajtova. Macron visited Slovakia in late October and held discussions with young Slovaks in Bratislava on the future of Europe. mf/mcs
