Police Exercise Increased Vigilance in Schools on Thursday

Bratislava, May 9 (TASR) - The police have been supervising the security of children in schools on Thursday morning, with the Police Corps Presidium stating that the increased vigilance is linked to threatening emails addressed to schools across Slovakia on Tuesday (May 7). On Tuesday, more than 1,300 false bomb threats were received concerning schools. The police noted that this crime can be classified as an aggravated terrorist attack, punishable by a life sentence. The threats made on Tuesday weren't only directed against schools, but against banks and electronics shops as well. mf/df
