Gov't Okays New Headquarters for Ministry of Tourism and Sports

Bratislava, May 9 (TASR) - The new Ministry of Tourism and Sports is due to be headquartered at Warehouse No. 7 near a Bratislava administrative centre on the bank of the Danube River, as the Government greenlighted a proposal to rent out commercial premises on behalf of the ministry at its session on Wednesday (May 8). The ministry is also bound to sign a rental contract by May 14. Rental properties were assessed by the Value for Money department on the basis of several criteria. "The bid on the Warehouse No. 7, submitted by J&T Real Estate, was the most advantageous under the selected parameters," stated the ministry. The ministry management previously sought out premises belonging to state institutions, yet no building meeting the criteria was available, so the search was extended to include private sector as well. A total of 11 businesses submitted their bids. mf
