Foreign Minister Blanar to Visit Cyprus

Bratislava, May 7 (TASR) - Foreign and European Affairs Minister Juraj Blanar will travel to Cyprus for an official visit on Wednesday (May 8), TASR learnt from the ministry press department on Tuesday. Minister Blanar will meet with Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides and his Cypriot counterpart Constantinos Kombos. The chief of Slovak diplomacy is slated to hold talks also with command of the UNFICYP mission, members of the Slovak Armed Forces and Police Corps involved in the peacemaking operation. Blanar is also going to take part as a guest of honour in a ceremonial event commemorating the 20th anniversary of Cyprus joining the EU. mf/mcs
