Sutaj Estok Denies That State Posts Have Served as Rewards for Voice-SD Donors

Bratislava, May 2 (TASR) - Interior Minister and Voice-SD general manager Matus Sutaj Estok has denied that posts in state administration have been handed out as a reward for party donors. The staffing of senior posts by Voice-SD donors has been criticised by MP Veronika Remisova (Slovakia, Christian Union, For the People). Remisova also wants to ask the Prosecutor-General's (PG) Office to examine these practices. Sutaj Estok doesn't see a problem in someone who has supported Voice-SD holding a senior post at a labour office or the post of head of a district office if the person meets the related qualification criteria. He claims that all the posts were filled based on expertise. His party colleague, Labour Minister Erik Tomas, is of a similar opinion. "Every single director of a labour office has had to meet the conditions set by the law, and every single donation to the Voice-SD party has had to be provided in line with the law," said Tomas. Remisova spoke to SME daily about the discovery that Voice-SD sponsors have received lucrative state posts. "Voice follows the rule 'the more incompetent the better' when it comes to nominations for state administration posts," commented Remisova on such appointments. ko/df
