Bratislava, April 30 (TASR) - If the general election had been held in April, Smer-SD would have won on 21.2 percent votes, followed by Progressive Slovakia (PS) with 20.1 percent of votes and Voice-SD with 16.5 percent, according to polls conducted by AKO agency on behalf of TV Joj 24. Also making it to Parliament would have been KDH (7.9 percent), SaS (6.5 percent) and SNS (5.1 percent). The alliance of 'Slovakia', For the People and Christian Union parties would have acquired 5.2 percent, but as a coalition of three parties would have needed at least 7 percent to make it to Parliament. Staying below the minimum 5-percent threshold would have been the Alliance (4.9 percent), Republic (4.9 percent), Democrats (3.3 percent) and We Are Family (2.3 percent), with other parties garnering less than one percent. Smer-SD would have gained 41 seats, PS 39 and Voice 32. KDH would have acquired 15 seats, SaS 13 and SNS 10. The polls were carried out in April 9-16 on a sample of 1,000 respondents. mf/mcs
