Bratislava, April 24 (TASR) - The government will also meet on May 1, even though it is a public holiday, said Prime Minister Robert Fico (Smer-SD) after the government away-from-home session in Dolna Krupa (Trnava region) on Wednesday, adding that the cabinet is also due to discuss Slovakia's membership of the European Union. "We want to take certain decisions regarding Slovakia in the European Union. We want to make declarations concerning Labour Day. We're continuing our normal working pace," said the premier. This year, Slovakia marks the 20th anniversary of its accession to the European Union, which it joined on May 1, 2004. am/df
