Poprad Airport Handled 17,600 Passengers in First Quarter, up 60 percent Y-o-Y

Poprad, April 23 (TASR) - Poprad airport handled 17,600 passengers in the first quarter of this year, an increase of 60 percent year-on-year (y-o-y), its management has posted on a social network, adding that the figure is even 200 percent higher than in 2022. At the same time, the airport oversaw 1,576 takeoffs and landings between January-March 2024. "We're entering the summer season with full commitment. One of the strongest seasons in our history lies ahead of us. Almost 130 flights to holiday destinations such as Tunisia, Turkey and Bulgaria are already available, which is twice as many as in 2023," added the airport. ko/df
