Bratislava, April 20 (TASR) - A Safe Internet Centre will be created to protect children in the digital space and, among other things, a legislative proposal will be prepared to regulate helplines, according to the Action Plan for the National Concept for the Protection of Children in the Digital Space under the competence of the Labour Ministry, which the government approved this week. "We consider the main problems in this context to be the lack of interconnection and mutual awareness of the different relevant partners in the approach to the protection of children from violence, the lack of awareness of the problems related to the online space and their consequences, as well as the lack of qualitative provision in the field of intervention," said the author. According to the ministry, the plan is intended to raise awareness of these issues among target groups. To this end, a Safe Internet Centre, including an awareness-raising centre, is to be set up. am/mcs
