Presov, April 18 (TASR) - The city of Presov is preparing several austerity measures, concerning mainly the operation of the city office and limitation of works, which were planned within the maintenance of the building, Presov mayor Frantisek Olha said on Thursday, adding that bridges won't be repaired either. The reason for this is a shortfall in the city budget of around €10 million. "We had an extraordinary meeting of the financial commission on Tuesday (April 16), where we presented the savings that the city of Presov will have to make this year. Because even though Parliament and the government approved compensation, it's still insufficient," said Olha. According to him, the city has a projected revenue of approximately €124 million this year. "Taking only the legal and contracted requirements, we've arrived at the amount of roughly €123 million," added the mayor. am/mcs
