Kotlar: Violations of Human Rights and Freedoms Were Identified during COVID-19

Bratislava, March 28 (TASR) - Violations of human rights and fundamental freedoms during the COVID-19 pandemic were identified during this week's expert conference, government proxy for reviewing the process of controlling and resource management during the COVID-19 pandemic and MP Peter Kotlar (Slovak National Party/SNS), who organised the conference told TASR on Friday, adding the violations were pointed out by several of the participating speakers. Kotlar said that the conference was attended by Prime Minister Robert Fico (Smer-SD), Culture Minister Martina Simkovicova (an SNS nominee) and state secretaries, representatives of non-governmental organisations, legal experts and other guests. According to Kotlar, representatives of the Prosecutor-General's Office and Slovakia's chief hygienist Tatiana Cervenova were also invited, but didn't come to the conference. am/mcs
