Stats Office: Revenues in Industry Up 0.6 percent M-o-M in April

Bratislava, June 12 (TASR) - Revenues for own goods and activities in April 2019 increased in transport and warehousing by 1.1 percent month-on-month and in industry by 0.6 percent, the Slovak Statistics Office reported on Wednesday. Conversely, m-o-m decreases in revenues in April were recorded in selected market services - by 1.5 percent, in information and communications activities - 1 percent, and in construction - 0.6 percent. Revenues in industry rose by 4.1 percent year-on-year in April. This was largely due to increases in water supplies, sewage water disposal and waste disposal - by 10.7 percent; in mining and quarrying - 6.8 percent, and in manufacturing - 4.9 percent. Conversely, revenues from supplies of electricity, gas, steam and cold air dropped by 3.4 percent. Total revenues in industry over the first four months of 2019 increased by 7.9 percent y-o-y due to growth in water supplies, sewage water disposal and waste disposal services - by 14 percent, in manufacturing - 9.9 percent, and in mining and quarrying - 5.8 percent.
