Bratislava: Activists Attach Mass Comments to Parking Policy

Bratislava, May 23 (TASR) - Inhabitants of Bratislava have attached mass comments to the parking policy draft, demanding financial analysis of the impacts of the policy, equal cost of €50 for each residential card and a new "family parking card", TASR learnt on Thursday. The comments have been published on-line by civic activists Jan Mrva and Ivan Lucanic. "We demand all cards 'resident 1, 2 and 3' to be charged equally and cost €50 each, which will enable us to avoid household disputes and we also want each card to guarantee equal benefits," said the activists. The activists also wish individual Bratislava boroughs to be able to join or withdraw from the city-wide parking policy with a year-long notice period. They also want the residential cards to allow temporary parking in other residential zones free-of-charge for eight hours daily until December 31, 2022. mf/mcs
