Bratislava, May 21 (TASR) - The coalition has arrived at an agreement to throw its collective support behind Roman Konecny in the House vote on the new National Security Office (NBU) director, Interior Minister Denisa Sakova (Smer-SD) announced on Tuesday. "I can confirm that an agreement has been clinched inside the coalition on the new candidate for the post of NBU director. The motion was greenlighted also by the Cabinet and we submitted it to Parliament today. He is Roman Konecny, who has served as the NBU deputy director since 2012 and meets all the legal prerequisites," said Sakova. The Parliament is slated to elect the NBU director and members of the Slovak Land Fund board in a secret vote later in the day. Furthermore, the House also decided to hold a secret vote on the Constitutional Court judges, with 79 lawmakers out of 135 voting in favour of the secret ballot. mf/mcs
