Sefcovic Will Represent EU at Inauguration of Ukraine's New President

Bratislava/Brussels, May 19 (TASR) - Vice-president of the European Commission for the Energy Union Maros Sefcovic has left for Kiev, where he'll attend on Monday, May 20 the inauguration of Ukraine's new president Volodymyr Zelensky, TASR learnt on Sunday from Sefcovic's spokesperson Renata Goldirova. After the ceremony, Sefcovic will hold bilateral talks with newly elected President Zelensky. "Ukraine may continue to count on the European Union's support with regard to its independence, territorial integrity, and the path of reforms, including the key energy sector," Sefcovic said before his departure. European Commissioner Sefcovic will also bilaterally negotiate with the head of the Ukrainian Government, Volodymyr Groysman and director general of Ukrainian state energy company Naftogaz Andriy Kobolyev. am/mcs
