Bratislava, February 21 (TASR) - Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini (Smer-SD) has called for a peaceful commemoration of murdered journalist Jan Kuciak and his fiancee Martina Kusnirova in a video published on a social network. At the same time Pellegrini stated that he hopes that the murder will stop dividing society, as he doesn't like to see a dispute-ridden Slovakia. "Let's peacefully commemorate the murdered couple. It's a memorial and a dignified reminder that we all hope that no similar events in our society will ever happen again," stated Pellegrini. According to the prime minister, the murder has shaken Slovakia. Pellegrini considers it to be a brutal act and attack on one of the pillars of the young Slovak democracy, the freedom of speech. Pellegrini stressed that the investigation into the murder is among the Government's priorities. He expressed his thanks to the investigators and prosecutors for their work and pointed out that people suspected of involvement in this crime are being held in custody. zel/df
