KDH Supports Frantisek Miklosko in First Round of Presidential Election

Zvolen, February 16 (TASR) - The Christian Democratic Movement (KDH) supports Frantisek Miklosko in his struggle for a decent and just Slovakia which he joined as a candidate for the post of Slovak President, agreed the KDH Council that held its session in Zvolen on Saturday. "In the topic of the presidential election, we came to a particularly interesting and difficult situation. KDH supports Frantisek Miklosko in the first round. However, we'll respect if our members, supporters and voters will chose from two names: Frantisek Miklosko or Robert Mistrik. In the second round, which will be certainly held, KDH will definitively support the candidate that of these two names will make it to the second round," KDH Chairman Alojz Hlina told TASR. Hlina stressed that Slovakia can't afford "further prolongation of the Smer-SD agony" or to expose the country to shadows of "Meciarism" any longer. For the development of Slovakia, it is important to search for what connects us and not to search for differences. At the end of the meeting, the Council commemorated the anniversary that the Christian Democrats have on Sunday (February 17). They're celebrating 29 years since KDH was established. am
