Bratislava, February 11 (TASR) - Industrial production posted a year-on-year increase of 3.1 percent in December 2018, the Slovak Statistics Office reported on Monday. This was largely due to a 4.1-percent increase in industrial manufacturing, while supplies of electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning declined by 1 percent and the output of mining and quarrying was down 3.9 percent. "Seasonally adjusted industrial output in December 2018 dropped by 0.9 percent on a month-on-month basis," said the Statistics Office. Industrial output for the whole of last year rose by 4.5 percent y-o-y, chiefly as a result of increases in industrial manufacturing, which went up by 6.5 percent. Conversely, output in mining and quarrying fell by 9.8 percent, and in supplies of electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning by 6.5 percent. ko/df
