Brussels, November 19 (TASR-correspondent) - The current Brexit agreement is good for Slovakia and doesn't need to be changed in any way, stated Foreign and European Affairs Minister Miroslav Lajcak (a Smer-SD nominee) on Monday after an extraordinary session of the EU foreign affairs ministers in Brussels, which focused on the agreement concerning the UK's departure from the European Union. "The debate has shown that the agreement is perceived as good and balanced. The agreement reflects the interests of the EU-27 as well as the negotiating mandate of (chief EU) negotiator (for Brexit) Michel Barnier," said Lajcak, adding that the task of the EU foreign affairs ministers at the session was to recommend the Brexit agreement for approval at the top level - by the heads of government of the EU-member states. They are meeting at an extraordinary meeting in Brussels on November 25 to adopt the Brexit draft agreement. The head of Slovak diplomacy also said that the draft agreement corresponds to Slovakia's interests and priorities, including the position of Slovak citizens in Britain as well as the UK's financial compensation after its departure. According to Lajcak, the second topic of the ministerial talks concerned the EU's future relations with Britain. Lajcak said that all talks concerning the future relations with Britain are "only outlines". He added that from Slovakia's point of view it's important to address legal relations as well as social and health issues, as "there is a large community of our citizens". tz/mcs
