Bratislava, October 22 (TASR) - The European Investment Bank (EIB) will support with €77 million two investments in Slovakia concerning the energy infrastructure modernisation, TASR learnt on Monday. The first project concerns the modernisation of the gas distribution network of gas distribution company SPP - Distribucia. EIB will provide the company with a loan of €60 million. "We believe that this loan will help and support the fact that the gas distribution network in Slovakia is modern and safe for people," said EIB Vice President Vazil Hudak after signing the two projects in Bratislava. The second loan worth €17 million will be provided to a company called GreenWay, which builds charging stations for electric cars and provides related services in Slovakia. "I believe that this is a good contribution from the EIB to promote innovation within the Slovak economy," said Hudak, adding that both projects include ideas for a better environment. tz/mcs/ko
