Foreign Inspectors Didn't Find Any Deficiencies in JAVYS

Bratislava, October 20 (TASR) - Foreign inspectors checked the demolition of the cooling towers in the V1 nuclear power plant in Jaslovske Bohunice as well as records of nuclear materials but didn't find any deficiencies in the Nuclear and Decommissioning Company (JAVYS), TASR was told by JAVYS spokeswoman Miriam Ziakova. According to the spokeswoman, the demolition of the cooling towers lasted for 272 working days from October 2, 2017 to October 1, 2018. She stressed that the cooling towers demolition was monitored on-site all the time as part of regular inspections conducted by the Nuclear Supervisory Authority (UJD). In addition, UJD inspectors also checked the demolition works three more times during planned inspections. Ziakova also pointed out that four foreign inspectors also checked JAVYS on October 8, 2018, namely one representative of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), one representative of Euratom Luxembourg and two representatives of UJD. am
