Slovak and Czech Governments to Hold Joint Session in Kosice on Monday

Bratislava, September 12 (TASR) - The Slovak and Czech governments will hold a joint session in Kosice on Monday (September 17), TASR learnt from the Government Office press department on Tuesday. The main items on the agenda will be bilateral ties and shared events marking significant anniversaries that both countries commemorate this year, namely the centenary of the founding of Czechoslovakia, 50th anniversary of the Prague Spring and 25th anniversary of the creation of independent Czech and Slovak Republics. The two Cabinets will also discuss cooperation in economic sphere and common EU agenda as well as the regional cooperation within the Visegrad Four group (V4: Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia), currently presided over by Slovakia. Such a joint Government session will be organised for the sixth time, with the tradition dating back to 2012 when the ministers met both in Trencin and Uherske Hradiste. mf
