ZSE: 47,800 Customers in Bratislava without Electricity for Three Hours

Bratislava, August 10 (TASR) - An employee of Zapadoslovenska Energetika (ZSE) energy utility died on Friday while repairing the failure of the transformers in the Ostredky power station in Bratislava, TASR learnt from ZSE spokesperson Michaela Dobosova on the same day. "We express our sincere sympathy to the family and the bereaved of our colleague. We have offered them all help and support available and we have initiated a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding this sad incident," said Dobosova, adding that the company won't comment on the issue any further. As many as 47,800 households and companies in Bratislava experienced power outages at around 11.30 a.m. on Friday morning due to a transformer failure at the Ostredky power station. The station supplies with electricity a large part of the Bratislava's boroughs of Ruzinov, Podunajske Biskupice and Vrakuna. ZSE managed to re-established electricity supplies for all customers in the affected areas within three hours. tz
